Spring Writing in Team LL

During the Spring Term, pupils in Team LL have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. Whilst exploring the genre of historic fiction through their class novel, the class have developed historic narratives detailing Carter’s epic discovery. Pupils have researched past events to ensure their narratives combined historically accurate information, whilst using their imaginations to convey thoughts and feelings of the characters. The children explored how language use has changed over time and adapted their style as appropriate for the task. The class will also be writing first person accounts in the form of diaries and developing their non-fiction writing skills through science investigations.
