Girls' Football - We do it well!

We are excited to share a recent email from Mr Stephen Gates in relation to our efforts to promote girls' football at Park Street...

'Mr Smith and Mrs Lawson,

May I offer both my congratulations and thanks for the incredible work you have done to both ensure girls in your school have equal access to both curriculum and extra-curricular football! The survey you completed in June testifies to your incredible efforts to ensure equity and parity for girls.
 
As you know the Football Association and Youth Sport Trust have engaged me to help schools in Barnsley to achieve this by 2024. 
 
I will send your certificate shortly that acknowledges this accolade and the fact that your Roll of Honour includes the following:
 

1. Equal access to curriculum football for girls
2. Equal access to extra-curricular football for girls
3. Regular intra and inter-school competition football 
4. Signposting girls to Wildcat football programmes and Grassroot girls football clubs
5. School staff trained in Disney Inspired Shooting Stars delivery
6. The school registered on the www.girlsfootballinschools.org website with a pledge to deliver equal access for girls
   
   

Simply put, you are one of the best schools in the country when it comes to equal access for girls in football, something you need to celebrate in school and with your wider school stakeholders.
