A HUGE well done to our Readers of the Week this week, the first Park Streeters to be awarded their 50 reads reward under our new reward system 'StarBooks'!

It was amazing to see so many boys and girls with smiles on their faces getting the first awards of the year!  Well done and thank you for showing such committment!

I just wanted to share how proud I was of our Reading Leaders in school today.  I have walked through school as I normally do just after lunch time to see the children learning and all of our Reading Leaders were mega busy with their reading partners, engaging them in reading in our Library area, helping and encouraging them to read accurately and fluently!

​What a super set of Reading Leaders we have this year!  Well done!

 As you will know, our Reading Leaders were desperate to undertake a 'Diary Day', also renamed as 'D Day' by the Leaders, to see which class was reading the most books at home (on one particular day).  This happened on 10.10.23!

We are pleased to announce that with 18 reads, Team JF won!

The Reading Leaders will be meeting soon to decide on your reward!

The Reading Leaders have asked Mrs Lawson and Miss McGinness to write out to parents to ask parents to read more at home with their children on a regular basis, so we have more children all through school reading at home.  This will be sent out in due course and another 'D Day' will be held just after the half term holidays!
