Following from our last post, why not look at some of our lovely library areas which we are working hard to make exciting, engaging and purposeful for our young readers!

What an afternoon of celebrating Park Street's new and improved library area. After working away through the Summer and the first few weeks of this academic year, our new library area is now complete! We have overhauled the way it looks to help all our young readers make the most of this lovely resource centre. Library books have been grouped according to topics taught, curriculum baskets have been developed so each class has a basket for books which are age appropriate and relevant to their History, Geography and Science topics, as well as home readers being redistributed into age appropriate books. In addition to this, we have also purchased more reading material to excite and engage our children and provided each class with an "acclaimed author" they will study later in the year. If you want more information, why not read the handout attached below?
Hello and welcome to our Wombwell Park Street Reading Blog. Here you will find a whole host of updates on how our reading is being developed through school.
Lots has already changed throughout the school this year to further develop our children's love of reading. Make sure you check back for regular updates on what's new! |
