Literacy 

What a busy week Team JF have had in literacy! Firstly, we  planned our diary entries from the perspective of one of the Roman twins, Romulus and Remus. To do this effectively, we had to think about the thoughts and feelings of our chosen twin and ensure our writing was structured in chronological order. From this, we were able to write our first draft of the diary entry and further improve our writing with our purple editing pens. 
Finally, we published our amazing diary entries and presented them to each other. 

The children have made excellent progress this term in their writing and continue to amaze me with their attitudes and resilience towards their learning. 

Maths

 Our maths this week has been slightly different as Team JF have been exploring Roman numerals. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of using the rules of Roman numerals to make different numbers or converting our numbers into Roman numerals. As their confidence grew, the numbers began getting larger and the children were able to transfer those skills into adding them together.
