Maths
This week in maths, Team JF have continued exploring perimeter. We initially started by using concrete resources to measure the perimeter of a range of shapes, applying our knowledge of their properties to help us. From this, we moved into measuring the perimeter of squares and rectangles with missing sides. As the week came to an end, the children amazed me with their understanding of perimeter and were completing a range of irregular rectilinear shapes with missing side! Once again, Team JF have blown me away with their incredible determination towards their learning! Literacy This week in literacy, Team JF have started a new unit of learning-playscripts. We have used a clip from the film The Muppets Christmas Carol to inspire our writing. This week the we have been exploring the features of playscripts to include in our own. Alongside this, we have started writing short pieces of dialogue in preparation for our writing next week. I cannot wait to read the final products!
