Literacy .
Welcome back! Our focus this week in literacy has been an introduction to instructions. We initially explored different types of instructions and unpicked the features of them. From this, we worked in groups using the Ipad's to create our own instructional videos of how to make a paper hat. The children loved this activity and really got into character producing some fantastic videos! Next week, we will continue our work around instructions and will be transferring the skills we have learned into our writing. Maths We have spent this week finishing off our unit of addition and subtraction. The children have worked extremely hard tackling the formal method of column subtraction. As we moved into exchanging numbers they quickly grasped the need to take from a neighbour if they didn't have enough to complete the subtraction. The children's effort and determination has amazed me this week as I know this was challenging for them. Well done Team JF!
