Mrs Firth and Team LF drop in to the Library!

Welcome back! We hope you have had a lovely restful and memorable half term at home with loved ones. This week, in true Park Street style we have been working our socks off in all things reading, be that phonics, comprehension skills or reading for pleasure.
In addition, today has marked the start of our Summer reading campaign where our children through school visit the library as part of our Incredible Me sessions. Mrs Firth and Team LF are the lucky class who have been for the visit today and the children and staff came back to school full of enthusiasm from their visit!
The class were initially introduced to the library and the way it works, discussing different books such as fiction and non-fiction and how we can identify these. The children were then given a quiz around the library where they had to locate different types of books. Team LF were thrilled to participate in a story with the librarians before concluding their session by learning more about the history of Wombwell Library. 
It sounds like its been a truly wonderful afternoon. Next up on our library visits are Team DB - be sure to check back to see how they got on!
