Here's a nice Thrive activity to do today if you get the chance. It's not essential but something to support your well-being if you have a few spare minutes.

Here is a nice activity for you to do should you get chance. Please do not feel like you have to complete the booklet, the choice is yours!
See below some activity packs produced by CEOP's Education Team for supporting your child with online safety during this pandemic.
Hi Team LG, Please see the attached video I have created. It will give you some help in responding to activities I have posted on Seesaw. Hopefully, it might support you with completing activities and sending finished pieces back to me. You can also take a look at the following link which is a guide published by Seesaw themselves: https://web.seesaw.me/get-students-started Take care, Miss Garratt As part of our Religious Education lessons this term we would have been looking at the Islamic faith, Yesterday, marked the start of Ramadan for Muslims. To find out more about this religious month, have a look at the following website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zpdtsbk/articles/zjc2bdm You can also take a look at the files below. There is a powerpoint with lots of information about Ramadan and how it is celebrated and also a creative activity to have a go at if you would like to.
Hi Team LG,
As we come to the end of another week I thought I would send you a message to say that I hope you are all well and taking care. I hope you are keeping yourselves busy with home learning, helping your parents out around the house but also taking some time for yourselves. Remember that in a time like this you need to make sure you are doing a balance of activities to keep your minds healthy. Your health and well-being is the most important thing. Like yourselves, I too have been very busy. As you will have noticed, I have been blogging lots of things on our class page for you to do and also making sure the Maths, Computing and PE pages are all up to date. As you know, I lead on those subject areas and therefore it is my job to post on those pages too. I have also been in school this week, working with some children but also with Mr Fidment to make sure Seesaw is up and running for next week. Some of you may have realised that I have been posting lots and lots of activities on our class page and may have found it quite difficult to keep up with all the work. That's okay! I would not expect you to get through everything I posted as I know I have blogged LOADS. However, I did want to make sure there was plenty on there and a range of subject areas for you to have a look at. My advice would be to try and have a go at a Maths and Literacy activity each day and then something that covers one or two other areas of the curriculum - just like we would do in school. As of Monday, I will do less blogging on the website as daily activities will be posted on Seesaw instead. This should be a lot more manageable for yourselves and it will help you to understand what I would like you to achieve on a daily basis. Of course, you are more than welcome to come back to our class blog if you would like to do some other activities that I have posted over the last couple of weeks but the tasks I would like you to complete each day will be posted on Seesaw. I hope this helps! Remember that tomorrow is Saturday and the start of the weekend so please take a break from school work, have some time to yourselves and spend some with your family. Family is the most important thing right now so please make the most of having your parents/carers/siblings around and do something fun together. Team LG, I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am missing you all very much and I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. Thank you to all those who have kept in touch via the school email/twitter, it's been lovely to hear from you and has put a smile on my face. Take care of yourselves and family and stay safe. Thinking of you all and sending lots of love, Miss Garratt Take a look at these exciting Science investigations which you can carry out at home with very few resources. Feel free to email or tweet us your findings.
Dream Big Sports have provided us with a free set of resources which will help you stay active and support you with your learning. These activities are a great way of getting Maths into your day whilst being up and on the move around your house. Simply download the Challenge Sheet pdf by clicking the attachment below. Have fun!
An activity from Miss Taylor (Art Lead):
What is an art journal? An art journal, is a visual diary that combines elements of writing, drawing, painting and collage. There are really no rules in art journaling, which means it’s a great place to express your personality and feelings. Below, are some ideas that you could include in your art journal. You can create your art journal using a plain paper notebook, alternatively you can use plain paper and staple these together. Parents- If you would like to share any of your child’s artwork please share this through Twitter or via the school email. All websites/videos will need careful monitoring from parents due to some topic content and links to other sites, so please be mindful of this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHnq2MWPZjA www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNzVn0BF9Ow www.youtube.com/watch?v=vY49eNceLBo www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ix-V4YglAQ As a school, we are committed to ensuring your child gets the best possible education that we can offer. The current circumstances are proving to be a bit of a challenge for us all and we know that education is quite difficult at the moment whilst we are facing this pandemic. With this in mind, we have subscribed to the online platform ‘SeeSaw’. SeeSaw is a platform that allows teachers to set home learning for each child in their class. Over the next few days, you will be receiving an email (with an attachment of the document below) that provides you with more information about how Seesaw works and how we are going to use it as a school. You will also receive your child's log on details in this email. Please look out for this arriving in your inboxes. As of Monday 27th April 2020, all learning and activities will be placed on Seesaw and not on class blog pages. Although we will continue to post blogs regularly, we will not be using them to the extent that we have done over the past few weeks. Many thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
