Over the past couple of days we have focused on:
Explaining what an algorithm is and applying flow charts to represent one.
Identifying iteration (loops) and constructing an example of iteration.
The children worked in groups of four to create a short dance routine that they had to represent in a flow chart. In their working groups the children chose four dance moves to put into a sequence and recorded this using a flow chart. We discussed the use of iteration (a part of the flowchart that repeats itself) and applied this to our routines.
After rehearsing each group then performed to the rest of the class to see if they could spot where the loop of iteration had been included. Top job Team LG - you performed some cracking routines.
