Maths:
We had a visitor to our class on Friday. Mrs Knott came to teach us all about comparing the size of fractions. Although some of us knew the answer straight away, the focus of our lesson was to understand the reasoning behind our answer. Throughout the lesson we worked on finding reasons behind our thinking and we were left with two statements: If the numerator is the same, then the smaller the denominator, then the larger the fraction. If the numerator is the same, then the larger the denominator, then the smaller the fraction. Next week we will be looking a proving why these statements are true. Literacy: We were extremely busy throughout our Literacy lessons this week. We began the week by looking at the features of Greek myths. We then worked as a class to plan our own myth with a surprising storyline and towards the end of the week we started to write our myth. We are continuing with our creativity next week where we will be finishing our myths, editing and publishing.
