Maths
This week we have been looking at the relationship between fractions. We started off with shapes of different fractions and named the shapes based on their colour. We used this to discuss the relationships between the shapes. For example, two pink = one orange. Following this, we had another lesson looking at the relationship between the shapes but rather than using colours we gave each shape a value. This time we looked at the relationship between the values we had given. For example, two 1/2s = 1 whole. At first we were unsure of why we were being asked to find relationships between colours, but once we gave the shapes values of fractions, all became clear. Literacy Following several snow days and Bikeability, this week we FINALLY started to write our Ancient Greek myths. We have used our planning to support us with our writing and so far we have written: an introductory paragraph, a character description, a creature description and a paragraph to tell the reader about the problems Ancient Greece is facing. Next week we aim to write the resolution to our myth (the most exciting part) where our characters are going to come face to face with the creature and battle to save the people of Greece.
