Maths
At the beginning of the week we looked at symmetry in shapes using mirrors. We recognised that most shapes have the same number of lines of symmetry as they do sides (e.g. a square has four sides and four lines of symmetry). We then took this a little further and began to look at symmetry of patters across a mirror line horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Literacy We began writing our letters to Mrs Lawson, to persuade her to allow her staff to take part in the new series of 'I'm a Teacher Get Me Out of Here'. We have written an introductory paragraph, introducing the show and then three further paragraphs relating to culture, food and activities in each habitat. Next week, we will finish our letters before editing and publishing in preparation for them being sent to Mrs Lawson herself.
