Maths
We began the week by focusing on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000. Following on from this, we looked at applying our times tables knowledge to questions such as 6,000 x 4,000 and 8,100 ÷ 900. Towards the end of the week, we had the opportunity to work on a new skill - multiplying a four digit number by a two digit number. As this was the first time we had been introduced to this new method it was a challenge. However, we are determined that over the next couple of weeks we will crack it! Literacy Our atmospheric writing has come to an end. At the beginning of the week we wrote our final couple of paragraphs before spending a lesson editing and then publishing our work. In relation to our reading, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Knott came to watch our reading lesson on Tuesday afternoon. They were completely blown away by our hard work! Mrs Wilson was so impressed with our ability to find evidence from a piece of text and how we use the evidence to explain how characters are feeling. Well done Team LG - cracking job!
