I would like a to say how proud I am of each and everyone of you for your commitment to learning through what has been a very funny week. Even though I have been in and out of class, supporting with the Year 6 SATs, you have all remained engaged in your learning regardless of the changes to our timetable.
As part of our lessons this week we have started to look at understanding angles as a measurement of turn. We began used a diagram to create a 'map', similar to a compass and used this to direct our partners to particular places around the classroom and around the hall. We had to give our partner instructions using degree turns as well as instructing them to turn clockwise or anti-clockwise.
We have spent time publishing our pieces of descriptive writing, in preparation of them being sent to Mrs Lawson. Each of our 'I'm a Teacher Get Me Out of Here' team leaders has chosen one member of their team to present their work to Mrs Lawson. Next week we will find out who our winner is. In addition, we have continued to work on our reading comprehension skills, in particular finding evidence to support our answers.
