Maths
This week we have revised all four written methods, spending a day on each. Having the opportunity to recap and revisit ensured we could consolidate what we had already learnt and apply to different problems. It allowed us the chance to make sure we knew how to accurately set out each method and reminded us of the importance of including a decimal point in our answer if needed. Literacy We started the week with a comprehension task based on how soldiers survived the First World War. Although this activity focused on our reading skills, it also gave us the opportunity to learn a little more about the war and what it was like to be a soldier living in the trenches. Following this, we started to complete our own research on different aspects of the war and we made notes in preparation for writing our own newspaper article. We chose topics such as:
