Maths
We began the week by revisiting the written method for long multiplication. By Tuesday, some of us had even started to look at missing digits. This week we have also recapped regular and irregular shapes and the different types of triangles including: Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalene and Right-Angled. Check out our photo page to our maths in action yesterday. Literacy Throughout this week we have started to focus on persuasive advertisements. We spent one lesson unpicking the features of an advert and we were able to identify the following: Snappy slogans Alliteration Wordplay The benefits Questions to engage the reader We then worked in pairs to create our own slogan quizzes and games. Some of us chose to make PowerPoints and some chose to make board games. We are looking forward to being able to play our games and quizzes at some point next week. In addition, during our reading lessons, we have continued to read David Walliam's book, Mr Stink and are hoping to watch the film within the next few weeks.
