Maths
Continuing with the same objectives as last week, this week we revisited calculating both the perimeter and area of rectilinear shapes that have missing measurements. Moving on, we were given a question such as 'The area of a rectilinear shape is 48cm squared. What does the shape look like'. We had to use our knowledge of area to draw all the different ways the shape could look. Some of us even managed to have a look at compound shapes. Literacy Our next writing focus is descriptive writing and to build up to writing our own piece this week we have focused on analysing the features of descriptive language. This included: strong adjectives, use of SPAMO, use of senses, interesting verbs and a range of punctuation. We then began further research on our habitats to build up word banks and mind maps to support us with our writing.
