Maths:
We have had extra support this week in Maths from Mrs Longden. We have split into two groups for our learning but both focussed on similar aspects of Maths. Miss Garratt's group have been looking at equivalent fractions and then converting these to decimals and percentages. Mrs Longden's group have also looked at fractions and then revised the written methods for addition and subtraction towards the end of the week. Both groups have done fantastically well and shown great resilience to learning. Literacy: Following our visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, we completed a shared writing activity in small groups. The challenge was to use descriptive techniques to describe one animal from the park, without mentioning the name of the animal. Our writing was then read to the other groups, who had to guess which animal was being described. The better the description, the easier it was to identify the chosen animal. Other news: This week we have started our production rehearsals (acting, dancing and singing) for our performance on Monday 3rd and Thursday 6th July. We are all very excited and already can't wait to perform to our parents/carers/friends.
