Maths
As it had been two weeks since our last lesson, we started the week by consolidating our prior learning of adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators. Often our answers were left as improper fractions and therefore for we spent the rest of the week focusing on converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa.

Literacy
This week we kickstarted our new topic - 'I'm a Teacher, Get Me Out of Where?'. Although the topic is heavily Science based, there are many elements that we can focus on during our Literacy lessons, including Persuasive Writing (our focus for this week). We looked at several forms of persuasive writing, including persuasive letters and analysed the features used. This was in preparation for next week when we will be writing letters to Mrs Lawson to persuade her to allow her staff to take part in a new TV series.
