Whilst coronavirus is infectious to children it is rarely serious. If your child is unwell it is likely to be a non-coronavirus illness, rather than coronavirus itself. Whilst it is extremely important to follow Government advice to stay at home during this period, it can be confusing to know what to do when your child is unwell or injured. Remember that NHS 111, GPs and hospitals are still providing the same safe care that they have always done. Here is some advice to help:

Have a look at these exciting Science activities that we found on Twitter. They're all things you can do at home. Some of them are Easter related but it's never too late is it?
This term, our Science topic is 'I'm a Teacher Get Me Out of Where?' Throughout the term we will be focusing on three habitats - the Mojave Desert, the Indonesia Rainforest and the Arctic - and learning all about the plants and animals. This unit of work covers two key areas, how animals adapt to their surroundings and the life cycle of plants. The whole of the topic centres around us being the producers of a new ITV series, where teachers are sent to these habitats to complete various tasks and activities. As the producers, it is our task to convince Mrs Lawson why she should allow her staff to take part in this brand new and exciting show. The first job we need to do is to think about all the reasons why our selected teachers (Mrs Longden, Miss Baxter and Mr Fidment) would be great participants on the show. We need to identify their character traits and decide what it is about these teachers that would make the show entertaining. Take a look at the document below to see how you could set this out
Following this, we then need to begin research into the different habitats we are studying. It would be a major task to find out about all three habitats and therefore when completing your research please only select one.
You will need to bear in mind that whichever habitat you choose, you will be working with that 'Team Leader' throughout the term. The leaders and their habitats this year are as follows: Mrs Longden - The Arctic Miss Baxter - The Mojave Desert Mr Fidment - The Indonesia Rainforest You could set your research out as a mind map, as a fact file or a poster for example. Good morning Team LG, I hope you have all had a wonderful two weeks over the Easter period and managed to spend some quality time with your family. It does still seem a bit odd to be restricted to the house and garden but please know that it is for the best and hopefully things will return to 'normal' soon. It also seems very strange to be welcoming you back over the internet as opposed to face to face. Fingers crossed that at some time in the near future we will be able to welcome you back in school and in class. Below, you will see some resources linked to Maths and Literacy for you to have a go at as part of your home learning tasks. Remember you can also visit the White Rose Maths website. I really recommend this website as it gives you a step by step break down as well as online tutorials to watch. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ I will also post about our new termly topic, which we would have been starting this week.. Keep your eyes posted for some more information about our Science unit of work 'I'm a Teacher Get Me Out of Where?'

https://nosycrow.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Coronavirus_INSwith-cover.pdf This is a really useful and non-threatening way to help children understand why they are spending a little more time indoors recently and not seeing many of the people that they're used to seeing. Regards, The Park Street Team Message for parents. Please see the attached letter that Miss Grayhurst put together relating to mindfulness. The letter explains what mindfulness is and why it is important. There are some useful websites to have a look at as well as some hints and tips about things you can do at home.
It has been amazing to see and hear about all the hard work you have been doing at home. Thank you so much to everyone who has emailed or tweeted us. Just in case you find yourself getting bored, please find below a selection of Easter puzzles and art activities you might want to try.

Hi Team LG,
As another week comes to an end, it is another week since we saw you at school. We are missing you terribly and look forward to the time when we next see you. The next week is the start of the Easter Holidays and therefore a time to rest and relax after all the hard work we have done this term, at school and at home. I hope you all have a fantastic two weeks break with your family. Have a break, you've certainly earnt it! Take the time to sit and reflect on what has been an unusual term and a few weeks that hopefully we will never have to experience again for a long long time. I am really proud of the positivity you have shown over the past few weeks and want you to know that I feel privileged to work with such a wonderful and resilient group of children. You are all amazing! Following the holidays, I will be back with more suggestions for home learning activities to keep you all busy. Stay safe and stay home! A little Easter craft idea for you to try! They look very fun to design and create. Follow the instructions below.
